Adventureland Theme Park
Adventureland is a family oriented mini theme park with two 18-hole mini golf courses, go-kart track featuring adult, rookie, and double go-karts, water-gun/bumper boats, arcade, batting cages, and the Mad Max Virtual Roller Coaster. Open year-round, weekdays, weekends, and holidays. No gate admission for the fun!

Grab a bag of popcorn and pick a show from AMC, which hosts stadium seating theatres with the latest titles. AMC 12 is also available for private parties.

Aplin Farms
Aplin farms is a four generation family farm located between Slocomb and Dothan Alabama. Hosting seasonal events like their pumpkin patch that features wagon rides, sunflower fields, and corn mazes, and u-pick strawberries and blackberries this family farm offers a great day enjoying agriculture in our area. They also host a market offering fresh local produce they've grown for you to fill your fridge and freezer for a great taste of all that Dothan has to offer!

Experience the largest indoor trampoline and extreme sports park in the Southeast with over 50,000 square feet of activities. Beaver Creek Trail
Dothan boasts the only urban Forever Wild Land Trust Trail in Alabama. Winding ten miles on the northwest side of town, Beaver Creek Trail is brand new and full of challenges for trail biking and hiking. This trail is marked and easy to navigate, with two entrances – one on Flowers Chapel Road, and the other on Fortner Street. Ten miles of trail are open currently, and all ten miles will be open on October 1, 2016.
Cherry Street AME Church
Declared the “Mother Church” of the AME denomination in Alabama. Originally organized in 1877 as the Colored Methodist Church. For drive by only.

Dothan Area Botanical Gardens
The reasons to visit the Dothan Area Botanical Gardens keep growing! Paved nature trails meander through gardens featuring roses, herbs, daylilies, camellias, azaleas, hydrangeas, and more! Enjoy butterflies, fountains, a pond, Koi fish, gazebo, tropical house, meditation areas, outdoor classroom, boardwalk, wedding pavilion, and Lock Gate! Open daily during daylight hours. Regular daily admission is $5 for adults 16 and up. Free to visitors 15 and below and garden members.
Dothan National Golf Club and Hotel

Dothan Opera House
Built in 1915, the building represents the elegance of the turn-of-the-century life. Theatrical productions, ballets and symphony performances are held in this landmark, which is on the National Historic Register. The Dothan Opera House also holds a hidden mural, which is painted on the stage’s fire curtain.
Dr. George Washington Carver Monument and National Peanut Festival Fairgrounds
The 6 ft. monument salutes Dr. Carver, who invented more than 300 uses for the peanut, ushering in a new agriculture era for the Wiregrass after cotton was no longer king. This statue is available for viewing during festival events at the fairgrounds

Farley Nuclear Plant Energy Education Center
Explore energy at the Farley Nuclear Plant Energy Education Center! Plant Farley is the state’s largest nuclear plant and supplies power to approximately 20 percent of the citizens of Alabama. The Energy Education Center includes interactive exhibits and guided tours. Tours are available Monday through Friday for schools and groups of any size, but must be scheduled in advance.
Fun Zone
The fun never ends at Fun Zone, a family entertainment center housing an indoor skating rink, laser tag arena, softplay gym with tunnels and slides, rock wall, arcade, and pizzeria. Open for groups and birthday parties!
George Washington Carver Interpretive Museum
Located in the original Greyhound bus station in downtown Dothan, the George Washington Carver Interpretive Museum is a tribute to Dr. Carver, who served as a catalyst for southern agronomic prosperity, and as a symbol of the creative link between science and art. Exhibits reflect the historical scope of contributions and achievements of African-Americans and African descended cultures as demonstrated by Dr. Carver. Developing over 300 uses for peanuts in food, industrial and commercial products, as well as promoting soil rotation, Dr. Carver helped save the Wiregrass from economic ruin in the age of the boll weevil. Open Tuesday through Saturday, and closed holidays. Admission is free, but donations are kindly accepted. Guided tours and large groups are available by reservation.

Joseph Monument and Memorial Park
A 10 ft. tall, cast bronze sculpture, located in the historic downtown area, is the centerpiece of the Millenium Park. It depicts the Bible verse, “For I heard them say, ‘let us go to Dothan.’ – Genesis 37:17,” which inspired city founders in 1885 to change the name of the town from Poplar Head to Dothan.
Landmark Park
Visit an early 1900s farmstead complete with farmhouse, cane mill, farm animals, one-room schoolhouse, Victorian-era church, and a blacksmith; stroll the boardwalk and nature trail; see a planetarium show, have a picnic, or catch one of the park’s many special events within the 135-acre park. Admission is charged for this attraction.

Murals of the Wiregrass
Start at the parking lot of the Dothan Civic Center at the corner of Main Street and St. Andrews Street at the Salute to the Peanut Industry mural on the side of Liddon Furniture. This is an ongoing project of historic murals painted by nationally and internationally acclaimed muralists on the walls of buildings in the downtown historic district. Murals display the history of the area’s peanut-based agriculture, Tuskegee airman, Johnny Mack Brown, and a downtown riot in the early days of Dothan. Guided mural tours available upon request, you can download a free mural guide for a self-guided tour, or maps are available at the Visit Dothan Visitors Center and in the Dothan Visitors Guide.

Todd Syrup Farm
Stop by and visit Mr. Todd and his family to learn how seven generations have built the family business of making cane syrup. Learn about the entire process from field to bottle, visit their museum on the history of syrup making, and take home some homemade goodies from the gift shop. Open daily including an RV Park.
U.S. Army Aviation Museum
The United States Army Aviation Museum houses the largest collection of US Army Aviation memorabilia. Its exhibits feature military airplanes, helicopters, and a gift shop. Closed on Sundays and Federal Holidays. This attraction is on a military base, so valid ID is required to pass through the gates and a vehicle search may be requested.

Water World
Enjoy the triple-flumed and Great White water slides, giant wave pool, arcade, concessions, and picnic and kiddie play areas. Open May through Labor Day. Admission is charged for this attraction.
Whispering Giant Sculpture
The 20-foot statue of a sad Native American standing in front of the Houston-Love Memorial Public Library was a gift from skilled wood sculpture, Peter Toth. The landmark is an homage to Alabama’s Native American cultures.
Wiregrass Museum of Art
Located in historic downtown Dothan and housed in the city's original Municipal Light and Water Plant, the Wiregrass Museum of Art collects and exhibits contemporary work by artists from Alabama and around the Southeast. Pieces from the permanent collection are on display throughout the year with temporary exhibitions that change quarterly. WMA also hosts artist workshops, educational tours and programming, film screenings, and live music.

Come and learn about the dairy farm business with opportunities to visit during milkings daily. Tour and learn about the intricacies of the dairy business and support a local, family owned farm with a farm store offering handmade cheese, chocolate milk, and butter!
