Northeast Ohio Pride Guide: List of events celebrating the LGBTQ+ community this Pride Month (2024)

Show your pride and celebrate the LGBTQ+ community at these diverse and inclusive events taking place all month across Northeast Ohio.

CLEVELAND — Pride Month is upon us, and there are tons of events where you can celebrate the LGBTQ+ community all month long across Northeast Ohio.

While Pride Month officially starts June 1, some events were held ahead of Cleveland's centerpiece Pride in the CLE march and festival on Saturday. And they're not limited to Cleveland's city limits. Check out the list below to find a Pride celebration near you.

THURSDAY, MAY 30

Drag artist and "RuPaul's Drag Race" star Nina West will be the featured performer at the NCMC's "Loud & Proud" concerts on June 1 and 2 at the Mimi Ohio Theatre.

“This concert is more than just a performance; it’s a celebration of unity, diversity, and the transformative power of music and storytelling,” said Richard Cole, NCMC artistic director. “We are honored to partner with Nina West, who has become an icon of inclusivity, to deliver the best of what the arts can offer: an immersive experience that brings out laughter, tears, and most importantly, a loud and proud declaration of Pride.”

The Groundhog Show says:"The Groundhog Show, founded in 2021, is an annual pop-up art exhibition celebrating northeast Ohio artists and creators. Over the past three years, it has become incredibly popular among artists and art enjoyers alike with significant participation from the LGBTQ+ community. Due to a significant increase in both participating artists and attendance, it was decided to move the Groundhog Show from Portage Lakes to downtown Akron in 2024. This move will allow for a huge uptick in visitors as it will run concurrently with the quarterly Akron ArtWalk event, ensuring our LGBTQ+ artists and allies can broaden their reach and impact. The exhibition will be open Friday, June 14 through Sunday, June 16. Additional programming will include live music, live figure drawing sessions, and an open mic night."
