I don't at all expect this to be implemented but I have been thinking about this for a while and wanted to post it somewhere. I think the summoner armor sets could benefit from gimmicks similar to that of the Stardust Armor, which has its own summon. I also meant for this to just be a post about the Spider Armor but then some other ideas came to me as well. Perhaps these armor abilities could give players reason to use different armor sets for different situations, and even allow new ways to use existing summons and whips.

Spider Armor - The main gimmick here is that the extra arms of the spider armor will allow the player to automatically alternate between two whips while attacking. The two whips will be whichever one you are holding + the nearest one in your hotbar. While dual wielding, the physical damage for both whips is decreased. The Spider Armor will also have these side perks: Allowing you to quickly climb blocks and walls like the crawler enemies, and buffing the poison/venom dps of spider summons.

Summoner Hallowed set - Im imagining that the hallowed armor could have its own summon, similar to how the stardust set has a summon that aids you. This summon could be a living shield that hovers around the player and absorbs a certain amount of damage before breaking. It will move relatively slowly so it will not block all projectiles or hits in the event that you are overwhelmed by many different things. This ability would replace the normal hallowed effect.

Tiki Armor - Tiki armor will summon a flower/plant spirit. As you and/or your summons do damage to enemies, the flower spirit matures and eventually blooms to give buffs to you and your minions. It also helps you regenerate health as you deal damage to enemies. When maturing, its animation will show it drawing upon energy particles from enemies. At maturation, the animation will show it blooming as a flowering plant bearing glowing fruits. The plant spirit can also draw maturation power from nearby plants and become stronger overall when in the jungle biome. The buffs provided include regen, player speed, player damage, minion speed and damage, endurance, and whip speed.

Spooky Armor - This armor set will summon a dark spirit that, upon double tapping down, will create a dark aura around you and your minions. This dark aura will cause nearby enemies to temporarily try to retreat from you and your summons in fear. This "spooked" effect will also lower enemy defense and disable debuff immunities, followed by a cooldown. This would be good for events where things can get overwhelming.

Stardust Armor - Double tapping down will cause time to slow for 4 seconds before a 10 second cooldown. Certified JoJo reference.

I get the concept, but if we're going to be making whip stacking that much easier, we should probably actually debuff whip stacking instead of just decreasing the damage of the whip. Something like giving a reduced whip effect.

This is pretty much a downgrade from the existing Hallowed armor debuff.

This sounds like a lot of buffs to get from an already decent armor, as well as not really being related to the theme of Tiki Armor. I also don't think much of a set bonus that spends a long time doing nothing.

Why would you ever want enemies to run away from your minions? Lowering defense and debuff immunities is fine, though.

Is the existing set bonus not enough of a Jojo reference for you? Why do you think Stardust armor needs a buff?

Yeah so maybe I should have just left this at Spider armor lol. Why do you think whip stacking would need a debuff though?

Because it's extremely powerful, and it shouldn't be made easier without also making it less effective.
