By Wonderwall.com Editors 8:15am PDT, Jul 28, 2017

It's been 30 years since "The Lost Boys" first arrived in theaters on July 31, 1987. In honor of the horror-comedy's big anniversary, Wonderwall.com is taking a look back at the stars of the film — in which a gang of vampire bikers torment a small California beach town — and how they've changed over the years. Keep reading to catch up with Kiefer Sutherland, Jason Patric and more actors from "The Lost Boys"…

Jason Patric starred as Michael Emerson, who moves with his family to the vampire-infested beach town of Santa Carla, California, where he's enticed to join the gang of vampire bikers.

Jason Patric went on to star in "Sleepers," "Speed 2: Cruise Control," "The Alamo," "The Losers" and more mostly under-the-radar films. In 2016, he starred on the second season of "Wayward Pines," and he recently appeared in the Iraq War drama "The Yellow Birds," which debuted at Sundance in early 2017. Jason has been linked to a number of famous faces over the years, including Robin Wright, Christy Turlington and Julia Roberts. (He infamously jetted off with the "Pretty Woman" actress when she broke up with his pal and "The Lost Boys" co-star Kiefer Sutherland just days before they were scheduled to tie the knot back in 1991.) Jason then dated Danielle Schreiber off-and-on from 2002 to 2011. They welcomed a son, Gus, in 2009 through IVF with sperm that the actor donated to his former girlfriend. They've publicly feuded over custody of Gus ever since. In March 2017, the court ruled that Jason is legally his son's parent — but has yet to determine whether or not he'll have custody of the boy.

Corey Haim starred as Sam Emerson, Michael's comic-book-loving younger brother.

Following the success of "The Lost Boys," Corey Haim and co-star BFF Corey Feldman went on to star in several movies together, including the 2008 sequel to "The Lost Boys." The duo even headlined a reality show, "The Two Coreys," from 2007 to 2008. The "Lucas" star romanced a bevy of beauties, including Alyssa Milano, Lala Sloatman and Victoria Beckham and was engaged to Nicole Eggert, Holly Fields, Cindy Guyer and Tiffany Shepis. But all was not well for the former child star, who struggled with drugs and addiction issues throughout his life. According to Feldman, Haim was sexually abused early in his career by older men in Hollywood. On March 10, 2010, Haim died from pneumonia and a heart condition at age 38. Though there were drugs in his system, they did not play a role in his death.

Corey Feldman starred as comic-book nerd and amateur vampire hunter Edgar Frog.

Like Corey Haim, Corey Feldman continued acting but failed to recreate his early success. He found a second calling with reality TV, starring on "The Surreal Life" in 2003 and on "The Two Coreys" in 2007 and 2008. The former child star, who's also released several albums over the years as a solo artist and with band Corey's Angels, opened up about his friendship with Michael Jackson, his history of sexual abuse and his longtime struggles with drugs in his 2013 book "Coreyography: A Memoir." Also like Haim, Feldman romanced many famous faces over the years. He was married to Vanessa Marcil from 1989 to 1993 and to Susie Sprague, with whom he shares son Zen, from 2002 to 2014, though they'd been separated for five years before they finalized their divorce. In November 2016, he wed Corey's Angels bandmate Courtney Anne Mitchell. Two months earlier, the group made headlines for their bizarre appearance on the "Today" show, which prompted a public backlash.

Jamison Newlander (left) starred as teen vampire hunter Alan Frog, Edgar's brother.

Jamison Newlander appeared in 1988's "The Blob" and then took a 15-year hiatus from Hollywood, during which he studied theater at New York University. After appearing in a 2003 short that he also wrote and directed, Jamison returned to the role of Alan Frog in 2008's "Lost Boys: The Tribe" (though his scene was ultimately cut from the final version of the movie) and in 2010's "Lost Boys: The Thirst." He also had a role in 2015's "Bone Tomahawk." He reportedly married Hanny Landau in 2002. They have two children. Though he still occasionally acts, Jamison has worked as a marketing manager and web content writer at Anthem, the health insurance provider, since 2012.

Kiefer Sutherland starred as David, the sexy leader of the vampire biker gang.

Kiefer Sutherland went on to enjoy a successful movie career with roles in "Young Guns," "Flatliners," "A Few Good Men," "The Three Musketeers" and more, but he's had even more luck on the small screen. He won two Emmys in 2006 for "24" (he starred on several iterations of the show between 2001 and 2014) and currently stars on "Designated Survivor." In addition to his failed engagement to Julia Roberts, Kiefer has been married twice: to Camelia Kath, with whom he shares daughter Sarah Sutherland, and to Kelly Win, whom he divorced in 2008 after a nine-year separation. In July 2017, Page Six revealed that the actor — who's had his fair share of headline-making incidents over the years — has been secretly dating actress Cindy Vela for three years.

Jami Gertz starred as the half-vampire Star, who falls for Michael.

Jami Gertz went on to star in several films, including "Less Than Zero" and "Twister." She also had stints on "Sibs," "ER," "Ally McBeal," for which she earned an Emmy nomination in 2001, "Still Standing," "Entourage" and "The Neighbors." She married billionaire stock investor Antony Ressler, with whom she shares three sons and has donated millions of dollars to charity through their Ressler-Gertz Foundation, which they launched in 1997.

Brooke McCarter portrayed the blond vampire Paul.

Though he had a small role in the 1989 movie "Wired," Brooke McCarter's acting career never really took off. According to his now-defunct website, the model and commercial actor (pictured in 2010) left Hollywood in 1998 and moved to Florida to pursue a career in telecommunications. In late 2015, he passed away after a lengthy battle with a rare genetic liver disorder. He had a daughter named Kaitlin.

Billy Wirth has appeared in several films over the years — most notably, he popped up in 1995's "Boys on the Side" and in 2012's "Being Flynn." He's also appeared on episodes of "Charmed," "Sex and the City," "CSI," "Law & Order" and "Major Crimes" and had a three-episode stint on "Chicago P.D." in 2014. Additionally, Billy was a contestant on "American Gladiators" during the very first season in 1989!

Alex Winter portrayed the vampire Marko.

Alex Winter went on to star as Bill in 1989's "Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure," as well as in its 1991 sequel. He had a handful of extremely small movie roles during the '90s and then mostly retired from acting, though he appeared on an episode of "Bones" in 2007 and had a role in the 2013 thriller "Grand Piano." Alex, who moved to New York City in 1994 to direct TV commercials, has since transitioned to documentary filmmaking and directing for television. He also directed 2015's "Smosh: The Movie." In 1995, he wed writer Sonya Dawson, with whom he shares three sons.

Chance Michael Corbitt portrayed Laddie, Star's half-vampire child companion.

Chance Michael Corbitt continued to work throughout the early '90s, most notably in 1988's "Pumpkinhead." He also had brief stints on "Major Dad" and "Baywatch." Chance then took a prolonged break from Hollywood, popping up only in 2005's "Marilyn Hotchkiss' Ballroom Dancing & Charm School" and in 2014's "Hallows' Eve." He's otherwise managed to stay completely under the radar.

Dianne Wiest starred as Lucy Emerson, Michael and Sam's mother.

Dianne Wiest won an Oscar (her first) for her work in "Hannah and Her Sisters" just a few months before "The Lost Boys" debuted. She earned another nomination in 1990 for her performance in "Parenthood" and took home her second Academy Award in 1995 for her work in "Bullets Over Broadway." Dianne has also appeared in "Edward Scissorhands," "The Birdcage," "Practical Magic," "I Am Sam," "Sisters" and more. Additionally, she won two Emmys for "Road to Avonlea" and "In Treatment," had a 48-episode stint on "Law & Order" and has starred on "Life in Pieces" since 2015. Dianne, who had a longtime relationship with late talent agent Sam Cohn, has two adopted daughters.

Edward Herrmann starred as Max, the bachelor who runs a local video store and hits it off with Lucy.

Edward Herrmann went on to appear in "Overboard," "The Aviator," "Factory Girl," "I Think I Love My Wife" and more films. He also won an Emmy in 1999 for his work on "The Practice," starred as Richard Gilmore on "Gilmore Girls" and had stints on "Oz," "Grey's Anatomy" and "The Good Wife." He died of brain cancer at age 71 in late 2014. Edward (pictured just a few months before his death) was married to his second wife, Star Lynn Hayner, from 1994 until his death. He had two daughters and a son.

Barnard Hughes portrayed Lucy's father — Michael and Sam's grandpa.

Barnard Hughes went on to star on "The Cavanaughs" and "Blossom." He also had roles in "Doc Hollywood," "Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit," "The Fantasticks" and "Cradle Will Rock." He died at age 90 in 2006. The Tony winner was married to actress Helen Stenborg from 1950 until his death. They had a daughter, Laura, and a son, theater director Doug Hughes.
