Feral Sins
by Suzanne Wright

When female wolf shifter Taryn Warner first encounters Trey Coleman, an alpha male wolf shifter with a dangerous reputation, she’s determined to resist his charms.

But Taryn finds herself drawn in by Trey’s forceful demeanor and arctic-blue eyes, and she eventually agrees to enter an uneasy alliance with him.

If the two succeed in convincing their respective packs that they’ve chosen each other as mates, Trey will win valuable political allies, while Taryn will escape an odious arranged mating.

If you love alpha males and sassy, sarcastic, strong heroines then you’ll love this werewolf romance book even if you aren’t into paranormal romance.

Trey was definitely one hot alpha werewolf but Taryn, even though she was a latent wolf, completely held her own. I couldn’t get enough of them – I highly recommend it.

I’d also consider this more of a contemporary werewolf romance as opposed to a fantasy, paranormal romance. Plus, you can read a total of 8 books in the series featuring the entire pack.

Bride
by Ali Hazelwood

Misery Lark, the only daughter of the most powerful Vampyre councilman of the Southwest, is an outcast—again.

Her days of living in anonymity among the Humans are over: she has been called upon to uphold a historic peacekeeping alliance between the Vampyres and their mortal enemies, the Weres, and she sees little choice but to surrender herself in the exchange—again…

Weres are ruthless and unpredictable, and their Alpha, Lowe Moreland, is no exception. He rules his pack with absolute authority, but not without justice.

And, unlike the Vampyre Council, not without feeling. It’s clear from the way he tracks Misery’s every movement that he doesn’t trust her. If only he knew how right he was….

Because Misery has her own reasons to agree to this marriage of convenience, reasons that have nothing to do with politics or alliances, and everything to do with theonly thing she’s ever cared about.

And she is willing to do whatever it takes to get back what’s hers, even if it means a life alone in Were territory…alone with the wolf.

If you think Ali Hazelwood can only write contemporary enemies to lovers romance books, think again as she slays it with this werewolf romance which is one of the best!

If you love romance books with the best characters that carry a story with suspense and the sweetest of slow burn romances, then you have to pick this up.

Misery could have been this one-dimensional character but I loved all of her layers! She was a hacker, a fierce friend, a loner and someone so strong and yet also so tragic.

Lowe is one of those alpha werewolves you totally fall for because he was a strong, capable and compassionate leader who also has a heart of gold evident in the way he treated his sister and Misery.

It’s a must read! Check out my book review of Bride.

The Fake Mate
by Lana Ferguson

Mackenzie Carter has had some very bad dates lately. Model train experts, mansplainers, guys weirdly obsessed with her tail—she hasn’t had a successful date in months.

Only a year out of residency, her grandmother’s obsession with Mackenzie finding the perfect mate to settle down with threatens to drive Mackenzie barking mad.

Out of options, it feels like a small thing to tell her grandmother that she’s met someone. That is, until she blurts out the name of the first man she sees and the last man she would ever date: Noah Taylor, the big bad wolf of Denver General.

Noah Taylor, interventional cardiologist and all-around grump, has spent his entire life hiding what he is.

With outdated stigmas surrounding unmated alphas that have people wondering if they still howl at the moon, Noah has been careful to keep his designation under wraps.

It’s worked for years, until an anonymous tip has everything coming to light. Noah is left with two options: come clean to the board and risk his career—or find himself a mate.

The chatty, overly friendly ER doctor asking him to be her fake boyfriend on the same day he’s called to meet the board has to be kismet, right?

Mackenzie will keep her grandmother off her back, and Noah will get a chance to prove he can continue to work without a real mate—a mutually beneficial business transaction, they both rationalize.

But when the fake-mate act turns into a very real friends-with-benefits arrangement, lines start to blur, and they quickly realize love is a whole different kind of animal.

I’m such a sucker for fake relationship books but this one took things up a notch by making it a fake mate romance.

These characters were so much fun to fall for. I loved the focus on their scents and how Noah had to “scent” her to mark her as his. Those “scenting” scenes were so hot and provided the best build-up to their super spicy scenes.

And if you didn’t already know about “knotting” in werewolf romances, well you will after reading this book. They go there and then some and it’s super hot given that it’s an alpha knotting an omega.

I’m so happy that I read this book and highly recommend it! Check out my book review of The Fake Mate.

Wolf Gone Wild
by Juliette Cross

Unable to shift for three months,Mateo Cruzknows all too well. His wolf has taken up residence in his head, taunting him night and day with vividly violent and carnal thoughts. Convinced he’s cursed, he needs the help of a powerful witch before he literally goes insane.

Evie Savoiehas always obeyed the house rules of her coven–no werewolves. They’re known for being moody and volatile. So, when a distempered, dangerous werewolf strolls in the bar and almost strangles one of her late-night customers, she’s ready to bounce him through the door. But the desperation in his eyes when he begs her to help him softens her heart and convinces her to bend the rules.

What Evie doesn’t know is that Mateo’s wolf has a mind of his own. And now that she’s in his sights, he wants only one thing.Her.

This is a werewolf romance with a great couple that also sets up an entire paranormal series you’ll want to dig into. I liked the fact that Mateo heard his wolf in his head as it was a good juxtaposition of Mateo in his two forms.

As a human he was this sweet guy who didn’t want his urges to overtake him. Then there was Alpha who was all about threatening anyone who posed them danger while also wanting to mate with Evie any chance she was around. Poor Mateo was just trying to balance it all and not scare Evie away.

I liked the chemistry between the characters and would recommend this for anyone who likes a werewolf romance book or witch romance books with heart.

Rejected
by Jaymin Eve

As a wolf shifter growing up in a strong pack, I should be living my best life. But after my father tried to kill our leader, I’m labelled an outcast, traitor, less than dirt.

When I can’t take pack life any longer, I run, but apparently they don’t like losing their punching bag. Torin, the leader’s son, drags me back before my first shift… a shift that will reveal my true mate. I never could have predicted who mine would be, but the moment my wolf looks upon him, I’m filled with hope for a brighter future.

Afterall, no one ever rejects their true mate, right? Wrong. Very wrong. When the wolves attack, my soul screams for vengeance, and somehow I touch the shadow world. Somehow I bring him to our lands. The Shadow Beast. Our shifter god. The devil himself. Turns out being rejected by my mate was only the beginning.

This is book one in the Shadow Beast Shifters series which will have you instantly hooked to binge-read every book. It starts out as a bully romance in Mera’s hometown then turns to a great enemies to lovers romance with the Shadow Beast.

After reading it my first thought was that this book has so many similarities to A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah. J. Maas only with a more paranormal angle along with the fantasy. So if you like that romantasy and don’t mind a cliffhanger, this is the werewolf romance to binge in Kindle Unlimited!

Moon Touched
by Elizabeth Briggs

As the half-human outcast of the Cancer pack, I’ve been beaten and bullied my whole life. Gaining my wolf form and my fated mate is my only chance to change packs and hope for a better life.

Except when my fated mate is revealed, he’s the future alpha of the Leo pack—our worst enemies. He rejects me in front of everyone, just before the Leos slaughter my entire pack and murder my family.

I manage to escape, but then I’m kidnapped by a far greater threat: the alpha of the mysterious lost pack. The 13th sign was banished from the Zodiac Wolves years ago, and I thought they were just a myth.

They’re real. They’re holding me captive. And the dark, dangerous alpha is offering me something I can’t refuse—revenge.

I love books that are based on the zodiac signs as that always adds a unique twist to the storyline and in this book the different packs are based on different zodiac signs.

Moon Touched follows a popular formula for some werewolf romances that includes a girl bullied by her pack and then rejected by her fated mate but of course there’s more to the girl than meets the eye.

I thought this was a good first book to a series that builds up the world of the various packs, and what Ayla was living through.

This book and the entire series is another to binge read in Kindle Unlimited!

Romance Rules for Werewolves
by Linsey Hall

When I inherit a magical house in the beautiful seaside village of Charming Cove, it’s just what I need to turn my dismal life around. Fresh off a bad breakup and with magic that I’ve ignored for a decade, I’m ready to rekindle my inner witch.

The catch? The house is inhabitable until I renovate it, and the only place to live is with a brooding, rugged boat-builder whodefinitelydoesn’t want me in his space. Though there’s no denying the electric spark between us, neither of us is willing to act on it.

To make things more complicated, I have to renovate the house in thirty days or I’ll lose it. But the house hates anyone who enters it and attacks with loose floorboards and horrific odors. I can’t get a single contractor in Charming Cove to help me out.

That leaves only one option—convince my new roommate to help me until I can untangle the mystery of why my new home is so moody. It’ll mean spending every day with the sexy, infuriating werewolf, but I’ll do whatever it takes to make my dreams a reality.

Werewolf’s Guide to Seducing a Vampire
by Sarah Hawley

Werewolf Ben Rosewood is happy with his life. One hundred percent. Everything is fine. His business, Ben’s Plant Emporium, is thriving, and he’s even expanding the shop. His anxiety disorder is…well, it’s been better, but that comes with the territory of running a business and having beastly urges every full moon, right?

As for romance—who has the time? Though his family is desperate to see him settled, Ben is fine approaching forty as a single werewolf. But after drunkenly bidding on and winning a supposedly-possessed crystal on eBay one night, he finds himself face-to-face with a beautiful yet angry vampire.

Eleonore Bettencourt-Devereux is a rare breed—a vampire succubus born from two elite European bloodlines during medieval times. Thanks to an evil witch, she’s been stuck in a crystal since she was thirty, forced to obey orders from the possessor of the rock.

Eleonore’s been dreaming of breaking the spell and severing the witch’s head for centuries. But did this witch really sell her to someone new, and for only ninety-nine cents?

Eleonore would claw this werewolf’s heart out and eat it, if only the binding spell would allow her to. But Eleonore and Ben soon realize they can help each other with both vengeful and less hostile needs. And why not have a little fun along the way?

There’s so much to love about this book about a werewolf romance with a vampire. From spells to interfering witches and mental health representation, it’s a new werewolf romance book to check out!

Truth or Wolf
by Anne Marsh

Twin brothers Atticus and Ford Boone may share the same face and the same supernatural secret, but where Atticus is charismatic and charming, Ford is grumpy and reserved… and that’s before he shifts into his wolf.

When hardworking citizen scientist Alice Aymes reluctantly returns to Green Valley to restart her stalled life, she’s sure she knows what to expect. She’ll save up the money she needs to escape to Nashville while nursing her secret infatuation with the ever-popular Atticus Boone—and fighting with her high school nemesis, his twin brother.

Alice hates Ford, and he’s always hated her right back. But after a case of mistaken identity has Alice kissing the wrong twin, she does what any good scientist does and analyzes the facts.

Fact #1: It’s time to revisit her unrequited crush on Atticus. Who needs a white-knight fantasy man when there’s a rock-solid, beaded lumberjack in your personal space?

Fact #2: Stimuli and sensory input ahoy! Growing up, Alice saw Ford as the grumpiest, sternest guy in town. They fought for years. Apparently that now sends her amygdalae into sensual overdrive.

Fact #3: The more bearded the wolf, the more protective and possessive.

As Alice finds herself irresistibly drawn to the man she loves to hate, the question lingers: How much of her level-headed heart is she willing to risk in the face of newfound desires and supernatural secrets?

This is the werewolf romance to read if you’ve fallen in love with Penny Reid’s Winston Brothers series. Even if you haven’t this is a must-read if you love small town romances where the hot, bearded werewolf brothers outnumber the unsuspecting human inhabitants.

Truth or Wolf kicks off the new Wolf Brothers series that adapts Reid’s beloved Winston Brothers series as paranormal romance books so get ready to explore Moonlight Valley, Tennessee.

War of Hearts
by S. Young

Thea Quinn has no idea what she is. All she knows is that her abilities have been a plague upon her life since she was a child.

After years of suffering at the hands of a megalomaniac, Thea escaped and has been on the run ever since.

Conall MacLennan, Alpha and Chief of Clan MacLennan, the last werewolf pack in Scotland can’t just sit around while his sister is failing.

When he’s offered a chance to save her, Conall agrees to use his rare tracking ability to find Thea – the only one who can provide a cure.

But Conall is not the only one searching for Thea and he never imagined having to make the choice between saving his sister or Thea.

I really loved how Young chose a modern, contemporary setting for this werewolf romance book which included Scotland and many places in Eastern Europe. Because you know I love a good romance with a hot Scotsman!

Even if you took out the paranormal elements of this novel, it would be a fantastic contemporary romantic suspense novel.

Collan was a great alpha Chief and wolf who I’d want on my side any day. Thea is one strong heroine and I found her backstory to be really interesting.

While this can easily be read as a standalone and complete novel, it kicks off a 5-book series.

Sanctum
by Hannah McBride

Skye Markham and her mother fled their dangerous pack and are now living in sanctuary within Blackwater, trying to create a new life for themselves.

Remy Holt has spent years guarding his pack and now he’s poised to protect Skye too if his wolf has anything to say about it.

As Skye and Remy’s lives collide, the shifter world starts to implode. Missing shifters, a depleting population, and pack fights are causing their sanctuary to crumble around them.

Skye thought she was finally safe … but maybe there’s no such thing.

There’s always a great mystery behind werewolf romance books and it’s no exception with this one plus it doesn’t end on a cliffhanger!

If young adult romances are your thing, especially with strong lead characters then this is the choice for you.

Cry Wolf
by Patricia Briggs

Anna never knew werewolves existed, until the night she survived a violent strike… and became one herself.

After three years at the bottom of the pack, she’d learned to keep her head down and never, ever trust dominant males. Then Charles Cornick, the enforcer—and son—of the leader of the North American werewolves, came into her life.

Charles insists that not only is Anna his mate, but she is also a rare and valued Omega wolf.

And it is Anna’s inner strength and calming presence that will prove invaluable as she and Charles go on the hunt in search of a rogue werewolf—a creature bound in magic so dark that it could threaten all of the pack.

It’s not hard to understand why this is very popular werewolf romance book in the genre.

I love that we have a wolf who is an enforcer and very dominant who mates with a rare Omega wolf with a bit of mystery keeping you on your toes.

Just a quick note that it is recommended that you read the prequel “Alpha & Omega” before readingCry Wolf as that gives the story when Charles and Anna first meet.

Tattered Loyalties
by Carrie Anne Ryan

When the great fight between the Redwoods and the Centrals occurred three decades ago, the Talon Pack risked their lives for the side of good.

After tragedy struck, Gideon Brentwood became the Alpha of the Talons. But the Pack’s stability is threatened, and he’s forced to take a mate—only the one fate puts in his path is the woman he shouldn’t want.

Ryan is one of those authors whose paranormal works have been sitting on my to be read pile for way too long.

This is her second series of werewolf romance books which dives into the lives of the children of the couples from her first series, The Redwood Pack, but can easily be read as a standalone.

If you love diving into an entire wolfpack of characters then you’ll love this 10 book series.

Wolfsong
by TJ Klure

Ox was twelve when his daddy taught him a very valuable lesson. He said that Ox wasn’t worth anything and people would never understand him. Then he left.

He was sixteen when he met the boy on the road, the boy who talked and talked and talked.

Ox found out later the boy hadn’t spoken in almost two years before that day, and that the boy belonged to a family who had moved into the house at the end of the lane.

He was seventeen when he found out the boy’s secret, and it painted the world around him in colors of red and orange and violet, of Alpha and Beta and Omega.

Ox was twenty-three when devastation came to town and tore a hole in his head and heart. The boy chased after the monster with revenge in his bloodred eyes, leaving Ox behind to pick up the pieces.

It’s been three years since that fateful day—and the boy is back. Except now he’s a man, and Ox can no longer ignore the song that howls between them.

If this book blurb doesn’t draw you in, I don’t know what will. This is one extremely popular werewolf romance book that I cannot wait to read that seems a bit different from the rest of the pack.

It’s an MM romance that I have a feeling will just draw me in and make me feel. This is a must read for sure.

The Wolf
by JR Ward

Things get steamy when Lucan, a wolven forced into bartering deals for the infamous Prison Colony, meets Rio, the second in command for the shadowy Caldwell supplier, Mozart.

After a deal goes awry, a wolf with piercing golden eyes swoops in to save her from certain destruction.

As shocking truths unfurl, Rio is uncertain of who to trust and what to believe—but with her life on the line, true love rears its head and growls in the face of danger.

I couldn’t resist adding a werewolf romance from J.R. Ward. This is the second book in the Black Dagger Brotherhood spin-off series that takes place in the glymera’sprison camp.

If you want a dark and if you want hot, then give this unique werewolf romance book a go.

Why I Love Werewolf Romance Books

Werewolf romance books are definitely my preferred choice when it comes to paranormal romance for several reasons.

Werewolf Romance Books Feature Fated Mates

I love the idea of having one true mate or one fated mate which is often the case in werewolf romance novels.

When characters find their fated mate, a bond like no other is formed and often results in the comingling of scents between wolves.

Fated mates also often have an innate ability of sensing their mate’s location and even talking to them telepathically. That’s pretty much the coolest thing ever.

If you love werewolf romance books with mates, you’ll love the books on this list!

Werewolf Romance Books Feature Entire Packs

Not only do you get fated mates in werewolf romance novels, but you also get many amazing secondary characters who are also part of the wolf pack.

Because members of the entire pack are featured, many werewolf romance books are entire series.

The series often feature each member of the pack so you can sink your teeth into not just one but several books if you fall in love with the characters.

Werewolf Romance Books Include the Best Shapeshifters

Paranormal romance books can have any number of shapeshifters in them but there’s just something about a man shifting into a wolf that gets me.

There can also be vampires, fairies, witches, warlocks or even mountain lions or other shapeshifters, but a werewolf is my favorite.

Werewolf Romance Novels Add a Bit of Suspense

Often with many paranormal romances, including werewolf romance books, there is often an element of suspense to the storyline.

Pack politics and threats from the human world or other beings often keep you on the edge of your seat when reading a werewolf romance book.

Werewolf Romance Books Available through Kindle Unlimited

When you read as many romance books as I do, it’s always a bonus when you can find books you love while also saving money.

Kindle Unlimited has a wide range of romance books to choose from so I always feel like I get my money’s worth with my monthly subscription.

Many of the werewolf romance books on this list can be found in and read with a Kindle Unlimited subscription.
