Misery could have been this one-dimensional character but I loved all of her layers! She was a hacker, a fierce friend, a loner and someone so strong and yet also so tragic.
Lowe is one of those alpha werewolves you totally fall for because he was a strong, capable and compassionate leader who also has a heart of gold evident in the way he treated his sister and Misery.

I’m such a sucker for fake relationship books but this one took things up a notch by making it a fake mate romance.
These characters were so much fun to fall for. I loved the focus on their scents and how Noah had to “scent” her to mark her as his. Those “scenting” scenes were so hot and provided the best build-up to their super spicy scenes.
And if you didn’t already know about “knotting” in werewolf romances, well you will after reading this book. They go there and then some and it’s super hot given that it’s an alpha knotting an omega.

Wolf Gone Wild

This is a werewolf romance with a great couple that also sets up an entire paranormal series you’ll want to dig into. I liked the fact that Mateo heard his wolf in his head as it was a good juxtaposition of Mateo in his two forms.
As a human he was this sweet guy who didn’t want his urges to overtake him. Then there was Alpha who was all about threatening anyone who posed them danger while also wanting to mate with Evie any chance she was around. Poor Mateo was just trying to balance it all and not scare Evie away.
I liked the chemistry between the characters and would recommend this for anyone who likes a werewolf romance book or witch romance books with heart.

Moon Touched follows a popular formula for some werewolf romances that includes a girl bullied by her pack and then rejected by her fated mate but of course there’s more to the girl than meets the eye.
I thought this was a good first book to a series that builds up the world of the various packs, and what Ayla was living through.

I really loved how Young chose a modern, contemporary setting for this werewolf romance book which included Scotland and many places in Eastern Europe. Because you know I love a good romance with a hot Scotsman!
Even if you took out the paranormal elements of this novel, it would be a fantastic contemporary romantic suspense novel.
Collan was a great alpha Chief and wolf who I’d want on my side any day. Thea is one strong heroine and I found her backstory to be really interesting.
While this can easily be read as a standalone and complete novel, it kicks off a 5-book series.
Sanctum
by Hannah McBride

I love that we have a wolf who is an enforcer and very dominant who mates with a rare Omega wolf with a bit of mystery keeping you on your toes.
Just a quick note that it is recommended that you read the prequel “Alpha & Omega” before readingCry Wolf as that gives the story when Charles and Anna first meet.

Werewolf Romance Books Feature Fated Mates
I love the idea of having one true mate or one fated mate which is often the case in werewolf romance novels.
When characters find their fated mate, a bond like no other is formed and often results in the comingling of scents between wolves.
Fated mates also often have an innate ability of sensing their mate’s location and even talking to them telepathically. That’s pretty much the coolest thing ever.
If you love werewolf romance books with mates, you’ll love the books on this list!
Werewolf Romance Books Feature Entire Packs
Not only do you get fated mates in werewolf romance novels, but you also get many amazing secondary characters who are also part of the wolf pack.
